Exclusive - Journalist Sister Questions Brother Jaker Ali in Emotional Press Conference
Danushka Aravinda reporting from Sylhet : Day before Yesterday, in Sylhet 's media Center , an unusual incident unfolded.
During the 1st T20i match, Jaker Ali emerged as the top scorer for Bangladesh, amassing 68 runs from 34 balls, to the delight of over 8,000 fans at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium.
This enthusiasm also permeated the media center in Sylhet, where I was the only Sri Lankan journalist .
However, for Shakila, a Bangladeshi journalist present in the media center , the match held a significance beyond just sports.
Her brother, Jaker Ali, was playing his 4th T20i match, and notably, it was in his hometown. As Jaker Ali's innings brought Bangladesh closer to victory, Shakila was visibly overjoyed in the media Center. Despite Sri Lanka winning the match by 3 runs, Jaker Ali, who fought valiantly till the end, attended the press conference.
In a rare occurrence, his sister Shakila posed a question to him, marking a memorable moment.
